Frequently Asked Questions
What is a flower subscription and what is the benefit?
A flower subscription is a service where customers sign up to receive regular picked-up or delivered fresh boquets. The benefits of a flower subscription include:
Regular access to fresh flowers that have been harvested within 24 hours of receipt, unlike non-locally grown flowers which are usually shipped into the country and have had the fragrance bred out of them!
Convenience and flexibility: Subscribers can choose the weeks they want to receive their bouquets, allowing for flexibility.
Cost savings: Subscribers enjoy discounted prices compared to one-time purchases, making flower subscriptions a cost-effective way to enjoy fresh flowers regularly. It also makes it easier on the grower from a harvesting, arranging, and pick-up/delivery perspective. A win-win!
Guaranteed Availability: Subscriptions are prioritized, ensuring subscribers have access to flowers even during peak times when individual orders may be limited or sold out.
Flower subscriptions are offered during the following time blocks:
Luxury Spring Bouquet Subscriptions (March - May)
May/June Flower Bouquet Subscription (deadline to join 5/17/24)
July/August Flower Bouquet Subscription (deadline to join 7/12/24)
September/October Bouquet Subscription (deadline to join 9/13/24)
Each subscription has a limited number of spots available and these have been known to sell out quickly. Subscriptions require upfront payment to secure your spot. With each subscription, you’ll receive four medium bouquets, and you have the flexibility to choose the weeks you want a bouquet. This allows you to skip a week if you're traveling or won't be available to enjoy them. The bouquets are gardener's choice, meaning I select the flowers based on what's in season and ready for harvest.
Subscribing is the most cost-effective way to enjoy fresh flowers, saving you over $40 throughout the subscription period. Additionally, subscribing ensures you have consistent access to flowers. I prioritize subscription orders, so you don't need to worry about missing out on bouquets due to sell-outs. There are occasions when I'm unable to fulfill additional orders because subscriber spots have been filled. Subscribers can rest assured knowing they won't miss out on their floral delights!
How do I choose the weeks I want my bouquets, and what if 4 isn’t enough?
A week before your subscription begins, I'll reach out to you with all the details. Then, each Sunday evening during your subscription period, you'll receive a text from me. You can then decide whether you'd like a bouquet that week or if you prefer to skip. If you opt for a bouquet, simply let me know which day you'd like it ready for pick-up or delivery, based on the available times during the subscription period.
Typically, four bouquets span over two weeks, providing you with one bouquet every other week. However, if you find that four bouquets aren't enough and you'd like them more frequently, you have options. You can either add another subscription to receive more bouquets or simply add extra bouquets to your existing subscription. Doing so will ensure you receive additional bouquets at the subscription price rather than the regular non-subscription rate.
Can I choose which flowers will go into my bouquet?
Unfortunately, I'm unable to guarantee specific flowers or color palettes for your bouquet. Flower availability can vary weekly depending on factors like bloom time and weather conditions. However, I assure you that your bouquet will feature the freshest blooms currently in season. To keep you informed and excited about your bouquet, I'll provide information about the flowers that are blooming during the week through our weekly communication. This way, you'll have an idea of what to expect in your beautiful arrangement!
How do I care for my flowers?
All flowers for bouquets are freshly harvested the day before or morning of pickup/delivery to ensure that you have the longest vase life possible! Flowers are also treated to ensure longevity and you don’t have to add anything to your vase. I do recommend changing your water out after several days, and recutting stems on a diagonal (except daffodils!). I also like to shake my bouquet out outside to get rid of little bits and pieces when I re-cut stems - it won’t hurt your flowers, and helps filter out some of the debris.
Can I gift a subscription?
Yes! I have gift certificates available that you can pick-up if you’d like to give someone the gift of a flower subscription.
